Steven D. Peisner,
president, has more than 22 years of experience in the credit card acquiring industry, in both sales and operational management for various Independent Sales Organizations, including Peachtree Bancard Corporation, Cardservice International, and E-Commerce Exchange. He is also the founder of Shared Information Systems, which developed, and later sold, NoChargeBacks.com, an Internet-based service which provided Internet, Mail & Phone Order merchants access to credit card holders' chargeback histories as a way to prevent "friendly fraud" or "electronic shoplifting" by card holders that repeatedly chargeback card-not-present transactions "just because they can." Peisner currently sits on the ETA's Government Relations Committee, after a prior two years on its Fraud and Risk Committee and is currently a member of the International Association of Financial Crimes Investigators. He actively participates in and supports MasterCard and Visa sponsored conferences on fraud and risk management as well as the Merchant Acquirers Committee (MAC). |
Michael S. Fisher, vice president, has over 21 years of experience in the credit card processing industry, about half of which was spent in point-of-sale equipment manufacturing and sales, and the other half in various sales and executive management positions with Independent Sales Organizations (ISOs), including Cardservice International and E-Commerce Exchange. Fisher is also founding partner of Merchant Mechanix, an ISO specializing in providing services to Internet and Mail Order/Telephone Order merchants in need of fraud prevention and risk management support. He is a past member of the Electronic Transactions Association (ETA) Government Relations Committee and a current member of the ETA's Membership Committee. He received an A.B. degree from Harvard College in 1984 and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. |
Shane Fitzpatrick, board advisor, is a Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant and holds an MBA from Manchester University , England . Fitzpatrick has 20 years of financial services experience in billing and payment processing. Fitzpatrick completed an assignment with Yahoo.com in February 2006; one of the most widely used internet portals in the world. Prior to the Yahoo! assignment, Fitzpatrick spent 5 years as European Billing Director and General Manager with AOL, the largest internet services provider in the world. Fitzpatrick also chaired a number of boards at Time Warner International, primarily focused on global treasury and cash operations.
Perceptive and incisive with real understanding of big picture, Fitzpatrick is an acknowledged industry expert on best practice in billing and payment processing, consistently adding value through vendor partnering and process design. Fitzpatrick is co-founder and chairman of the European Merchant Direct Response Forum, an e-merchant led organization with more than 200 pan-global members sharing best practices in web billing, collection and fraud management. A number of major card schemes and European banks also participate in the DRF. Fitzpatrick is a regular industry forum speaker on best billing practice process design techniques. A native of Dublin , Ireland , Fitzpatrick completed his accounting training with the Aer Lingus Group, where he worked as group auditor and later as Chief Financial Officer and head of marketing at Aviation Services Ireland Ltd., a billing and collection services company. |
